My Plan B is really my old Plan A - i.e. what I used to do in permiedom. There's good reason to think I'm about to make some money from it, which with any luck it means I won't have to go back to contacting and can keep working on phase 2 - which is what I'm most excited about, and I think could be quite big, but probably needs another 6-12 months of full time development.
That's the problem with software: you have to put in the development time up front. I think the days of knocking together a website and making a fortune are long gone. Anything worthwhile needs substantial amount of effort.
But look at it this way: if you're on the bench, you may as well work on something, even if it turns out to be a complete waste of time, or if you can't realistically finish it. Because ultimately work is better than Jeremey Kyle.
