Or one of theseOriginally posted by ToolpusherMaybe the commercial airlines need to start flying planes like this.
400 fat bastards then?The A380's upper deck extends along the entire length of the fuselage, and its width is equivalent to that of a widebody aircraft. This allows for a cabin with 50% more floor space than the next-largest airliner, the Boeing 747-400, and provides seating for 525 people in a typical three-class configuration or up to 853 people in all-economy class configurations.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment

I've seen one from up close on the ground and it looks damn big, but that certainly gives it scale.
I'm in no way skinny, but sitting in the same row as a real bloater is seriously unamusing.
(Incidentally I've not heard someone called a "fat knacker" in ages, I'm sad to say it did make me laugh
)

Couldn't they harvest some of the fat and use it to power the plane?
I'm sure there were some enterprising Peruvians in the news recently who could have helped.Comment

They were discussing billy bloaters on R4 this morning and how the NHS won't pay for surgery until they hit a certain weight ratio. The guest went on to say that roughly a million people in the UK would be eligible for surgery and that there is a third of 1% mortality rate. I'm sure that would be 3,000 dead fatties as a result of the surgery.
Oh yes, apparently, for the billy bloaters, non surgical treatment (assuming that includes diet and exercise plans) do not work for them in the long term.Older and ...well, just older!!Comment
