Also a good choice. I didn't get it in my classification but I rather like it. Bits of it anyway: living in a canalside flat in Utrecht is great, but from the look of things I saw when I got on the wrong train somewhere in the southern area of Amsterdam, not everywhere is so appealing.Step outside posh boy -
Wot, no Ireland?
At least the constant rain, 5 euro pints and 25% unemployment are keeping the immigrants out.....Comment

Why no love for the argies? I would happily live there.Originally posted by Tarquin Farquhar View PostHere are my choices by type:
A) Germanic
Germany
Austria
Switzerland
B) Club Med
Italy
Spain
Portugal
C) New World Latin
Chile
Ecuador
Brazil
Argentina
Uruguay
D) The Dominions
Canada
Australia
New Zealand
I'd live in any of them, but my partner is really keen on only one of them so I guess that's my exit plan fixed.Comment

It is on the list.
I'd have it nearer the top though, but like most of South America I'm only choosing to think of the romantic version.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

As I said, so would I. But as I said, out of the 14 that I listed, my partner is really only interested in 1. She doesn't necessarily have a problem with the people from the others, she just doesn't want to live there.Originally posted by fckvwls View PostWhy no love for the argies? Bolivia at number 1 for me. Crossed the border into Chile and immediately felt the cold, snobbish European attitude and the Spanish there is incomprehensible.Originally posted by fckvwls View PostYeah, but behind Brazil and Chile. Number 1 destination in S America for me, loved it there.Comment
