Easier way: click on your user name next to a post, then hover over the "Send a private message to..." item on the menu. The URL of the link should then be displayed in your browser's status bar (bottom of the window) and your user ID is after "u="

Or click on FAQ, in Search FAQ type in userid and you'll get one hit back which will show a URL which will have the referrerid=nn and nn is your usrid, apparently. Personally I like this bit of text in the results:
