Nurses are there to do the labouring of the medical profession, they are not trained at a high enough level to do the thinking. You would not ask first line support to do a high level design of a new system.

Ask your doctor who is trained in health care and stop making a complete tip out of yourself on here.

And do not think everything on the internet is correct, you could google 'midgets shagging monkeys' and you might find stuff on it, does not say it is right.

Seriously, if you are asking on an IT forum about health choices for your children then you really have you priorities wrong or you are a complete spud.

      I'm going for the latter.

The future looks rosy for pharmaceuticals. If swine flu doesn't take off in kids and young healthy people, the kid vaccination programme is hailed a success and we'll be getting more every year, and if it isn't a success, all the more reason for a better drug to be produced next year and pressure for the rest of the population to have it too. Big government contracts either way.

          The vaccine isn't 100% effective.

I like to think I am cynical and, therefore, able to predict the future. So I hate it when I read something like this and realise I am an amateur:

            <--- big pharma shareholders

You are completely right. There will now be a children's vaccination programme every year. "Think of the children". But it costs £275m! "But if it saves just one child's life...". But it won't, and it might kill a few. "But the voters, think of the voters..."

My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

Can you give me an example of someone who has had the vaccine and waited the set time for the vaccine to work then went onto get swine flu?

I just asked Dr Minestrone (without priming or mentioning this discussion we are having) "do you know only 1/3 of nurses are prepared to take the vaccine"

                  Her exact words were.

"That is because nurses are ******* idiots"

FWIW: I've had it because I'm immuno-suppressed. I also had seasonal flu. I felt bloody lousy for about 3 days.
