    Anyway, getting back on track...

    Not a 'language' book as such, but Steve McConnell's 'Code Complete' was a masterwork. It's basically a book on how to code. The principles are applicable to many languages.

    You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.
