Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

I can guess. You looked down at the traffic on Swindon roundabout while dreaming of being a millionaire?

Superb! After church I took the kids to a petting farm to give Mrs BP a break. DS2 is just started to take an interest in animals (he still takes no interest in people) so it was nice to see him feeding them.

After Mrs BP's full roast pork lunch I went horse riding with the twins : my first ever ride!

Then we all went to see my ex-mother-out-law!! If I did not take the twins to see her she would never see her grandkids......

Yes thanks! Hope you did too.

Thanks to the clocks change, my baby now goes to sleep an hour earlier.

A most excellent weekend thank you.

Got the ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holland, and a friend drove us down to Essen in Germany. (130 mph on the road in Germany ! !)

We attended Speil (SFW) and managed to buy, between us, a bootload of boardgames, some LARP equipment, a few RPG sourcebooks, and other gaming related accessories.

4 days of gaming during the day, and gaming in the evenings over a beer or 3.

                    It was an excellent break.

Now I have a stack of plastic bags (2" x 3") and I am putting counters in to them from the various games.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
