On a related note, can anyone please explain why there are Beatles CDs, T shirt and memorabilia everywhere? I get the Jacko stuff (sort of*), but this baffles me.

Remastered CD Box set and a video game 'Beatles Rock Band' were release recently.

Doesn't the Jacko estate still own the rights? If so, it should help out with the debts.

I thought that Jacko had used the rights to the Beatles stuff as security for a loan from his record company who took control of them after he couldn't pay back the loan. This happened in the last year or so.

At least Concorde was a genuine human achievement.
As was going to the moon.

Both were magnificent human achievements, especially when you think that technology has raced 40 years on and we still haven't been able to replicate them.

* actually no, I don't really understand the mentality of people who, in their droves, buy an artists music or films just because that artist has died. Surely if they were fans they'd already have it, and if they don't already have it, why start buying it now?

If you are a real fan than it is your duty to buy the artist's music.
The funeral costs need to be paid for and the children and all the ex partners
need your cash so they can continue with their jet set lifestyle.
