Yes, if he's finished his day's work early. Actually he should get a bonus because the people towards the end of his walk got their letters a bit sooner.

Postmen in my area are a bunch of toβers. One Chinese student who does not speak English, one Indian from another city who shouts racist it you try and talk to him and 75 year old half blind, bold head git with a limp. None of them seem to be able read the numbers on the doors!"A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

That's probably the future of the postal service. Different postmen everyday comprised of temps and part-time workers who will be doing it while looking for better full-time jobs.Originally posted by Paddy View PostPostmen in my area are a bunch of toβers. Luxury! Where I have my house in England there are a series of three parallel roads that are all named beginning with an 'A'.Originally posted by Paddy View PostNone of them seem to be able read the numbers on the doors!Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

That's McDs excuse for not giving staff that have worked for them for over 20 years proper full time contracts.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostThat's probably the future of the postal service. People like me who find this an abhorrent situation actually call them McJobs. Welcome to globalisation.Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

I have 2 different postmen that come once a day from different companies, both reliable as clockwork and friendly. The refuse collectors come at least 3 times a week. The rag and bone man comes once a week. The market gardener also comes once a week. The pubs are open decent hours without the threat of instant violence and you can smoke in a lot of them. You can drive at decent speeds on the motorways. A fair bit of the population speak a smattering of English while a good percentage speak very good English. Contract rates are pretty good here and there seems to be no lack of roles to fill. I presume this is because I live in a civilised country

One of the spooky things I found in Denmark is that day to day I meet more people who can speak English than I do when I'm in England. Was really quite disturbing for a while before I realised the truth: the UK truly is a tuliphole.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostA fair bit of the population speak a smattering of English while a good percentage speak very good English.Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.
