Many years ago, Halo and I had the dubious pleasure of staying with a cousin of mine, and she was what you might call a "cat lady".
The icing on the cake was the moggie's party trick of being allowed to jump up on the kitchen work surfaces and strut around, whilst depositing little pink worms from its bum on to the place where food was prepared.
I knew then from that day onwards that cats are EVIL.
That was about the same time as our love for take-aways grew....Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
