Sorry, I don't believe that, not just on the half-say-so of one Amazon book reviewer:

There's a lot of stuff on t'internet about this - but as usual, it's all conflicting! One source says Winston Churchill's biographer witnessed and quoted Loelia. Many people point out that for either Loelia or Thatcher to say this makes little sense, given their humble beginings - although they both married into wealth. The differences seem to arise over whether Loelia was born wealthy or poor.

It's a piss poor report on an academic study (again!). I can rant for hours about this kind of pointless crap - I won't but it really fcking annoys me.

Zippy, Geeky women may go for that, but many are much more shallow. Similarly with men and femail upholstry, and I don't mean whether your settee is from DFS or John Lewis
