Why does the forum interface 'go funny' sometimes?

As I security expert I feel I should warn you of url hijacking. When you experience these said behaviours please check the address bar to make sure it shows contractoruk.com and not some erroneous address. These hackers are very crafty.

I've got an idea. Why not become a tester and get paid a tulipload of money for complaining about this while never having to solve the problem?

In Firefox I've seen it go all retro, 90s, Times New Roman a couple of times. A refresh sorts it out.

That'll be failing to interpret the CSS properly, and is easily seen if you have a crappy connection.

I've seen it on sites with a gazillion CSS files, but never here on CUK (a cursory look at the HTML source says the CSS is presented inline).

No problem with FF 3.0.12 on Win XP SP2 here - except the Technojobs skyscraper banner overlapping the emoticons when making a post.

My connection to the t'InterWeb is indeed very crappy. Especially when it is raining like it is now.

Eventually in my dabbling, rebooting and tinkering, I renamed Firefox's \Cache to be \Cache.Fuckwit and created an empty \Cache and rebooted again.

Sorted. And, by gum, Firefox is much faster.

Maybe 107 tabs is too many.
