Tolwood: Take an appetite with you. Some of the ethnic food stalls are superb. Graze all day. Small portions not one big one.Originally posted by chef View Postgf chef drove down from Cologne for 5 days arriving last night

I wish I could guive you directions to a favourite eatery on the lake. It is the far side from the village and hard to describe the route.
Jazz garden at Grosseselhoe (spl?) is great if there is a band on.
Hirsch garden is good but a bit of a guilt trip if eating hirsch.
Why not take her out in Schwabing, some great places to eat there.I am not qualified to give the above advice!

Was it you who was looking for a bike in Munich and said they were expensive? There is a bike shop at the city end of Schwabing that builds their own light weight city bikes and they were reasonably priced last time I was there.Originally posted by chef View Postwent to tollwood last week, very impressed as it's a free festival

Jazz at the bier garden is a great way to spend the day. There is also a superb restaurant and micro brewer at (near) the U-Bahn station.
Bier gardens: Try the Steckerl Fisch (sp? again) but only if it is done over charcoal and fresh.I am not qualified to give the above advice!

I was looking for a bike and found an absolute bargain, 55€, 18 gear mountain bike, not exactly lightweight but the roads are so flat around here that it doesn't matter..The proud owner of 125 Xeno Geek PointsComment

Except the F1 is at the Nurburgring (which means Hockenheim might be quieter and more preferable!) I stopped off at the Nurburging on the way home a couple of weeks ago and it was one massive building site. New hotels, a new arena and a rollercoaster (fastest in the world apparently) right next to the stands.Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostWondering if it is worth the 1.5 hours drive to Hockenheim.“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

Hoping to get OH to become confident on motorway driving - joining with short ramps and also esp around the busy M25 - M4 area (southbound 6 lanes, having to cross 3 lanes to exit at T5, northbound also 6 lanes making sure you are in right hand 3 lane when it splits for the M4 otherwise not heading home in right direction anymore).
If I succeed I don't have to be a taxi driver all the time anymore! This default font is sooooooooooooo boring and so are short usernamesComment

Get there VERY early. Some friends went a couple of Saturdays ago, got there early, and gave up waiting about 3pm.Originally posted by dang65 View Posthopefully going to see the Banksy exhibition in Bristol on Sunday morning, though I've heard there is usually a queue round the block to get in.My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment
