        Then door to door would be 2 hrs each way and involve more than just the packed train.

        So in a week he spends about 250 quid and has 20+hrs commuting time for a place he has bought specifically as a money saving option that is close to his potential workplace

          Except that most of his work is in the midlands. I was saying its a possible commute. Not an ideal one.

          He would however get a much nicer house for a lot less money than being in London commuter belt. There is also talk of making the line high seed so its 35 mins to the capital.
