They say that 'he who has all the gold, ,makes all the rules' - could this be one reason why Gordo is so ineffective at the moment- because he doesn't have enough gold to do the job??

OH NO! It looks like I'm stuck in one of those ground hog day time warp bubbles !

It feels like it's 09:48 and I'm in no mood to party.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

It is interesting to see the developing World (Asia really) catch and pass the former Empire.
The infrastructure is already superior in Chinese cities for example.
The big difference is rural areas, health care & benefits, and I wouldn't recommend China to copy the NHS.
The true 3rd World remains though in Africa and central Asia. But that term is out-dated, really it's developed, developing and failed/failing IMO.
          Bored.

I imagine when the recession is over and unemployment starts falling there will be more competition for workers.

Other companies will attract this company's employees by offering better salaries and conditions.

              Here's another one.

BA asks staff to work for nothing
              http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8102862.stm
The appeal, sent by e-mail to more than 30,000 workers in the UK, asks them to volunteer for between one week and one month's unpaid leave, or unpaid work.
Unpaid work or unpaid leave - now there's a dilemma.
