Last year I took Programme maker Chris Trillel over to see some tornadoes as well as the eye of Hurricane Ike on Galveston Island. Chris took some stunning footage of tornadoes (I am not sure if I am on the tornado programme) but I am def on the Hurricane one n9th June – IMO the last 15 mins represents the most stunning Hurricane footage that I have ever seen on TV.

Plan B (filming severe weather footage) is going well but I just spent two weeks chasing twisters in the USA and got nothing! However the weather pattern is picking up again this weekend so I will fly out again to try and earn some money.
Hum - Just watching Chis saying he always works alone - but sure I spoted you in the front seat and someone in the back who was filming Chris with the hailstones called Lorraine. ( he then owned up and said he sometimes works with storm chases) Come on own up - who is Lorraine?

WxMan - excellent work with Chris Terrill.

Btw, you're not the chap who had the programme made about him on More4 are you?

That was indeed my self on the More4, CH4 “A Very British Storm junkie”

My PlanB involves filming Severe Weather around the world.

Chris was exhalant to work with, if a tad close to the edge at times! The footage that we obtained from hurricane Ike on Galveston Island is both very sombre and stunning at the same time.

I play a minor part in tomorrows night Tornado production even through Chris was with me on a very active day – but he missed the main tornado when he stopped behind to interview some residents whose house was badly affected by a tornado – the tornado that he missed was 0.5 miles wide and it roped out less than 200 meters from me – it was stunning IMO.

Chris then follows Lorraine – a UK storm chase friend of mine who I recommend. They got BLASTED by huge hail and near tornado wind circulation which was all caught on camara.

                I'll be watching this wxman.

Incidently, if you see Chris Terrill again can you ask him if he ever marked our Geography exam papers in 1981 the lazy b*st*rd. There were always rumours he used to mark exams using a dice but that year .. nothing!

As i mentioned I am not really in the tornado production - the hurricane one is the one to watch

I have to ask - how's the missus?

Your agonising over whether to stay (in the US IIRC) for another storm or come back home to a somewhat miffed (and getting miffed-er) lady made excellent TV !

And what happened to that last roast potato?

How do you reconcile the euphoria of being close to the tornados with the grief people suffer?
