Here you go, nothing to worry about

"Health Secretary Alan Johnson has moved to allay fears that the deadly swine flu outbreak in Mexico could pose a problem in the UK.

Mr Johnston said Britain was on "constant alert" and had a stockpile of vaccinations that could be used to fight the virus if needs be. "
Who has time? Who has time? But then if we do not ever take time, how can we ever have time?

      next paragraph reads...

Of the 103 deaths in Mexico, only 20 are so far confirmed to have been caused by the new virus.

I thought those vaccines were rubbish. The best advice is not to go to hospital as, for one thing, sick people go there.

20 confirmed, but I am sure they are rather busy trying to save lives rather than check every single dead body !!

I thought I heard we had £0.5 billion worth of (probably useless) flu vaccine stockpiled, and are going to buy a shed load more.

i think the mortality rate would still be high because drugs such as tamiflu do not target the new virus. It would take some 6 months I think to develop an anti-virus for a specific new virus

I don`t think this will be the big one but the next one might, especially if this current virus mutates further. It`s only a matter of time, just like the current financial crisis - they always come around in the cycle of life.

The world is a liitle overcrowded!

Could be good for benchies. When all the peeps are carted out of germ bag offices for tamiflu treatment the reserve contractors can step in......until the originals hopefully return.

On a good note, ifyou did catch such a virus and recovered, you`d then be immune to it
