My wife currently earns way more than me, she’s on about 8k part time.
I’m a shell of the man I once was… 1st day on the bench.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Even on a good year gf still earns more than me and is on a guaranteed earnings for the rest of her life ( no wonder the NHS is skint ).

I would not mind at all. Although we are very competitive with each other (not sure how healthy that is really).
Sometimes I find it tough that he earns a lot more than me as I feel guilty spending his money. We split the bills 50/50 too so it can be tough when he wants to do more expensive things as I sometimes watch the pennies.
I do not think we are at the share everything we earn stage just yet.
My wife had a well paid managerial job at pharma company but when we had a baby we decided if she was to work it would be close to home, stress free and flexible... that's why she now works part time at the local council.
As soon as we're mortgage free I'll be doing the same as can't be bothered chasing money around the country, I'd rather put my daughter to bed than be in some tuliphole B&B just so we can afford Meribel and Disney in the same year.
