As usual, he touches upon one or two genuine observations, but then extrapolates further in to la-la land, probably just to shock and keep the ratings going.

He's no journo. Well, not a serious one anyway.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

It is the link between success and happiness that he makes that really stinks. I earn more than most people I know and would be considered a success but then my mate down the road hardly makes a bean, has a great life and is very happy.

You're lucky it's only 3.2% at that price.

3.2 x 568 ÷ 1000 = 1.82 units, that falls within the 50p per unit limit big brother wants to impose so no fear of retribution.

If they sold ‘Old Empire’ at that price they’d be closed down.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
