    "Green Technology Workers"

What is a "green technology worker"? Apparently the government will make us world leaders and it will provide "skilled employment" for millions of "Britons"* as well as reducing our dependency on imported oil and gas.

Is the guy who put insulation in my loft now a "green technology specialist"?
Are there more than about 3 boffin-types developing new super windmills and solar cells? Or is it a load of old bollocks?

*EU and non-EU workers living in Britain and resident for benefit purposes.

I am The Green Technology Worker and I claim my Government 82.450 pounds non-taxable subsidy.

      Some call me Jack-In-The-Green,

      Have you seen Jack-In-The-Green?
With his long tail hanging down.
He sits quietly under every tree
in the folds of his velvet gown.

He drinks from the empty acorn cup
the dew that dawn sweetly bestows.

And taps his cane upon the ground
signals the snowdrops it's time to grow.
