Aren't we all trying to do some variation of that what with our 82% income schemes, SIPP contributions, dodgy expense claims, "IR35 safe" contracts, gingerbread house building schemes etc. etc. ?

I doff my hat to the man.

Yes the guy is a hero and a role model.

If only he'd pinched the Crown Jewels, porked the Queen and wiped his nob on the curtains at No. 10 as well.

Especially as he'll be hiding behind the curtains at No. 10.

            Good luck to him !!

At least he earned his money and has already paid a fortune in taxes in a booming private sector thanks to Broon and his 'light' regulation.

If he'd been a member of the blood-sucking public sector I could understand the uproar. In a few years time most public sector employees will be getting similar retirement packages unless HMG have the balls to do something about it.

Yes, the average joe working for the council will be getting a 650K pension.

The amount of mince that comes out your mouth is amazing.

He worked is way to the top and he exploited the rules to the best of his ability. Pension funds are separate to company funds, so the state that RBS is in is irrelevant. Public servants are ripping us off for doing far less.

The public sector liabilities that the taxpayer must fund now stands at 1 trillion pounds.... 1,000,000,000,000 pounds.

                    Try getting some perspective !!
