There are the Blue Mountains which are in the south-east of the country, south of Sydney.

I visited the north-east area around Cairns in 1989, and took a trip on the Kuranda railway. Many lives were lost in the 1800s when this was being built and the views are spectacular..... lots of mountains!!!

Cheers ! I didn't know Oz was so mountainous in parts.Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
