I am motivated by having as relaxing life as possible, my most stressful decision of the day is wether to go sailing, surfing, golfing or to tennis... or maybe just watch sport on the tellie. I also spend alot of time reading on the verandah, sometimes I put the book down and just watch the cruiseships sail in to harbour. It is a nice 25-30 degrees every day. In the evening I crank up the BBQ and watch the sun go down over the ocean as the smell of steaks on the BBQ waft around.
Thanks to getting paid silly money in the UK and having a wife that earnt even more than me, we are mortgage free on our own house and some investment properties.Comment

Yeah, Tay's lifestyle sounds fantastic but it's hardly motivational.
What drives me to get out of bed at 6 am, get into a freezing cold car, drive through the fog to get to a freezing cold office, whilst in agony due to a pulled muscle?
Dunno. Fear probably.

Funny that: OH and I are both Scots, both worked in London while younger and both miss the buzz if not the commute. I'd consider working there again.Originally posted by BrowneIssue View PostNothing, any more.
Grew up in London. Lived and worked as an adult in London, then lived in the Home Counties and worked in London (I couldn't afford a house mortgage inside London when I was a permie).
Circa 2001 we moved out of the South-East vowing never to return.
I will not consider any work inside the M25, regardless of the rate. Seriously.
OH's ex-husband is a cockney: he won't set foot in the place and thinks Bedfordshire is too close, he's moving to Lincolshire.
OTOH you won't see OH or me in Lanarkshire ever again....Comment

The pensioner ?
I took your advice and she gave me a massage last night, with this hand held infra red vibrating thingy. It made a massive difference.

She did not just send you down the local massage place then? There seem to be loads of those at the back of local newspapers : guess there must be loads of people with muscle issues around?Originally posted by EternalOptimist View Post
