It’s more a connection with the jealousy that I think motivated NuLabour to start taking apart hereditary peerages. People forget that with inheritance comes duty. Those who were appointed to the Lords might get the idea that they’re so great they can do pretty much what they like, while some of the hereditaries have been brought up to see their position as a duty rather than a privilege.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument?
