Well put, Lucifer. Remember to point out that if they don't accept your recommendations the business will not exist in a few years time. Include lots of nice illustrations; graphs showing trends (don't forget to normalise!) and expected financial savings. Remember your client and make sure s/he approves (potential empire building) and above all; NEVER SPRING A SURPRISE ON YOUR CLIENT. Let them know exactly what you are going to say.
Likewise, Voron. You have to be in hard marketing mode and really ram home to your listeners succinctly and clearly what the benefits are. Remember, a quarter of them aren't listening, a quarter are wishing they're somewhere else, a quarter of them don't have the intellectual capability to see how an abstract concept of "doing something" will do anything other than give them something to do they're not doing right now (i.e. hard work for them). If you are lucky, the final quarter are actually listening but the majority of those won't be able to see the benefits unless you stuff them down their throats.
