Huh? All that clean water was doing the water board a favour - helping sluice out the drains, which would otherwise have been more likely to clog up and smell.

So in theory, your neighbour should have been charging *them*!

Acid rain is better for everything than Tesco Larger.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Not sure of your logic there HAB.

When was the last time you heard of vast acreages of Scandinavian pine forests being killed off by Tesco Economy Larger?

I suppose the hearty Scandinavian forresters might have been drinking the evil brew and subsequently pissing on the tree roots, but it seems somewhat unlikely.

Apparently the water board saw it as using their drains, whereas without a roof, the rain would soak into the ground.

Which might be a bit tricky since it had a concrete floor,

It was quite a big place, so the bill was worth saving.

Just come down this morning and checked my new water butt and unbelievably its filled an empty 136 litre barrel to the brim overnight!!

Thats us sorted for when civilisation collapses next week.
It only filled so quickly as we all cam round and had a wee in it.

Wow! How posh is CongtractorUK that we can't even spell lager?

Nooooo, you do realise HMRC can smell contractor urine from 20 miles away, luckily we live upwind of them but have just moved house just in case.

Ha ha! It's a fair cop guvnor, but society is to blame.

I honestly can't remember the last time I drank larger in the UK. Pish the lot of it.

Mind you, Bollinger is a mediocre champagne favoured by the nouveau rich and assorted arrivistes. Try some Taittinger instead.
