just received an email from insurance co.

"As discussed, please can you send us proof of ownership for the laptop. This should ideally be an original purchase receipt but if you don’t have this, please send any other documents such as a credit card bill, manual or packaging, which show that you owned the (items being claimed). We will contact you within 5 working days of receiving this to discuss the next steps with you. Please remember you have a policy excess of £50, which will apply to any replacement that we may agree."

as i cant wait 5 days for a decision i've gone and bought a new laptop, does anybody know if they will simply pay the insurance claim value if i show ive replaced the laptop or am i going to be stuck with a 2nd laptop?

Sometimes they have deals with retailers and will just give you the vouchers worth the value of the claim.

Survives a bus journey but not a restaurant trip. Either middle class people are more dishonest or the Chavs thought it was a bus bomb
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Or maybe Chef's "restaurant trip" involved big mac and fries?
