Just a bit, and yes.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014 -
What's with all this optimistic press recently? I expect the national grid to fail with a cold snap early next year.Comment

We have a UPS box. Computer rarely went off overnight until Oct this year : since then 4 days out of 7 it is off in the morning. And sometimes goes off during the day.
It could be we are running out of electric.
But might just be the local sub station......

Yes, most of the usual, but this time enhanced with government improvements: "increased spending", and "investment".Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostAlong with the railways and the council snowploughs?

Tanks will be used to refuel cars (Germans made good progress on such engines) and also can be used to burn cleanly hydrogen to generate local power 24/7. End user risks will be not much different than those they take now using gas/petrol.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostYep, true. But do people want big hydrogen tanks all over the place?Comment

Yes it always amazes me that terrorists haven't attacked a petrol lorry. Mind you, perhaps they wouldn't want the supply chain for their oil to be disturbed, seeing as that's what's funding the terrorists.Originally posted by AtW View PostTanks will be used to refuel cars (Germans made good progress on such engines) and also can be used to burn cleanly hydrogen to generate local power 24/7. We see loads on Dartford Bridge having just left Canvey Island. It would make a hell of a bang and might take the bridge down?Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostYes it always amazes me that terrorists haven't attacked a petrol lorry. Would certainly be front page news....Comment

I am pretty sure we will see that in the future - only they will try to drive big fuel truck into crowds, that's what they did in Iraq a lot but they can't easily get hand on good explosives in this country, which is a good thing for sure. The bad thing is that since people are unarmed if they see something like this all they can do is run away rather than shoot the attacker before he kills many people - there is a good reason why many people (in civilian clothers) are armed in Israel.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostYes it always amazes me that terrorists haven't attacked a petrol lorry.Comment
