Just been in. Mostly 10% off it seems, and the checkout queues backed out into the middle of the store. Hasty exit was made.

Why do these idiots queue up to get a feeble 10% discount at a bankruptcy sale? It’s a BANKRUPTCY, which means EVERYTHING MUST GO, quickly and at just about any price. Offer 10% of the label price.Originally posted by QwertyBerty View PostJust been in. Mostly 10% off it seems, and the checkout queues backed out into the middle of the store. Hasty exit was made.

Maybe they are; if they have brains they’ll pass each other the message in the queue.Originally posted by Peoplesoft bloke View PostHow do you know they aren't?And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

Me too. Most of my xmas purchasing choices are made on the basis of size of queue on xmas eve.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

Why is Woolworths in Germany not bankrupt?“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

I order my Christmas purchases from a purveyor of luxury goods who brings them to my house. It's worrying to think that if this recession bites testers hard, I might some day end up queueing in a shop with the great unwashed. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument?
