Looks like they will be making the changes for FRS.

Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Anybody found anything about income shifting in the PBR? I'm at page 87 and my head hurts.

          15% VAT of £1000 = 150

When Calculating Flat Rate, You need to add the VAT, and then calculate the 13.5% so....

          1000 + 15% = 1150 * 13.5% = 155.25

You pay out 13.5% of the figure gross of VAT.

So if you bill £1, then with 15% VAT you receive £1.15. but you must pay the govmt 13.5% of this £1.15 (NOT 13.5% of £1), and hence you owe £0.155.

Hence you take a VAT loss of 0.5pence.

...but this is all irrelevant as they are reducing the flat rate VAT too.

13% of the VAT inclusive total.

I think you'd still make a profit even if it was 15% & 13% - but as it is, b/doomed.
