    The constant use of "Y Na what I mean?", as if there were any possibility of ambiguity in the torrent of banal tripe being regurgitated!

          I've noticed a lot of agents and weather presenters (gobsh1tes in essence) that keep prefixing sentences with "as I say" or "as I said" when they most definitely haven't !

          As I say, what would Wilmslow make of it!

              ‘at this moment in time’

              Where else would ‘at this moment’ be? At this moment in custard? At this moment in the cretaceous period?

              What’s wrong with ‘at the moment’?

              Also, British policemen irritate me with this kind of convoluted language, as heard on that Traffic Cops programme on BBC;

              Constable Plod; ‘at this moment in time the male is proceeding toward the motor vehicle’.

              Plod’s Colleague ‘Motor vehicle is now continuing along Primrose… Primrose… Primrose Avenue; suspected case of TWOCKING’.

              Plod again, having ‘apprehended’ the ‘male’; ‘Male has been apprehended on suspicion of Taking without Owner’s Consent and being in charge of a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance’.

              Why don’t they just speak English?
