No kids here so that's my weekend sorted. Just need to find something for the missus to do now..

I've been playing COD4 on the PS3 for the last year. I've only ever played it online. It has been a fantastic game, but the poor reliability of the servers just spoiled it.
I've just bought COD5. I'm very impressed with that too, and the online play seems to be a bit more reliable as well.

Only managed to buy it yesterday. XBOX 360 review - it's good. I don't know how good yet as MrsMM insisted on playing mario kart with me for most of yesterday evening. I was too knackered to pull an all-nighter.
This evening will be another thing - soaps all evening for her = COD5 all evening for me: it's a happy partnership we have"See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

Online game play is excellent - it's almost identical to CoD4, couple of new additions in having a beginners' team deathmatch option and separating out hardcore games from 'core'.
There's a decent selection of maps as well and a lot of variety in location and style. The retention of some of the perks has been quite clever given the return to WWII era and I particularly like being able to jump into a tank on certain levels
Only real issue has been the problems with the servers as I mentioned, though the fact that all the weaponry has effectively been downgraded as a result of being set in WWII takes a bit of getting used to.Proud owner of +5 Xeno Geek PointsComment
