I spent a goodly portion of yesterday at my PC staring out the window watching Rollo the squirrel remove all the peanuts out of one of the bags of bird food I'd hung up.

He spent ages getting them out and then burying them about 2 feet away in the lawn.

Much better than TV!

We've got a squirrel in our garden we call "The Naughty Squirrel" who does pretty much the same thing.

My aunt in sussex spends a fortune on nuts for her bird feeders, but the variety of birds they attract is amazing, including a couple of colourful woodpeckers.

There even a bird I'd never heard of called a nuthatch that always feeds, clinging to the wire upside down. How stupid is that?
