I agree. The only decent thing on the BBC is Radio 4, and that's ruined by the Archers.Originally posted by DimPrawn View Postbut £14.3M a year in salaries alone for the BBC execs is taking the piss somewhat.Comment

I don't know, I've not seen a whole episode of "Little Britain" on TV, let alone heard it on radio. On a related note, I was channel hopping last night and those two happened to be on (don't know their names, the fat one and the one that swam the channel) and they were made-up as body builders. I was amazed to see at how realistic their body suits were, or whatever was used. Anyone else see it and know how it was done? Body doubles?Originally posted by AtW View PostRadio 4 is nice, but is it not them who also have "Little Britain" bulltulip?

Um...does the Air Training Cadets count as well ?Btw, would you like to run a straw-poll on the number of ex-military there are on this forum?
I remember saying an oath to the Queen...Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

You can say the same about high wages (no, these are commercial salaries actually) in any sphere or organisation. It's just jealousy. In a recent survey Joe 'Thicko' Public thought that £62k was a good salary for a top international football player. That's £62k a year, not a week!!

I wouldn't be surprised. I think there are a lot of ex-military in contracting and recruiting. Probably because they come out with a confident, can-do attitude, which is much more important for success than actually being able to do.Originally posted by Churchill View PostThose of us that have served in HM Forces have done so!
Btw, would you like to run a straw-poll on the number of ex-military there are on this forum? I think you'd be surprised. But hey, don't let facts get in the way of you talking bollocks.Comment
