Yes we heard you the first time you said January was a long time away.

As for spacecadet, grow a pair and stop being such a pansy. Just ignore tham and do what you want anyway. If your wife doesnt like that, remind that
    a) They are her parents
    b) She invited them, not you
    c) She doesnt get a vote in your leisure time.

You are man, hear you roar etc etc

Well his wife made a unilateral decision by the sounds of it... and now he is upset? Make her realise unilateral decisions in issues like this end in bad results.

Due to distance factors she sees her parents at most once a year, I see them even less

This is grounds for a divorce in my opinion.

So she can look after them, I fail to see how this will stop you relaxing... unless you are a under her thumb.....

Why the 'duh'? How was I supposed to know she was a student and part time worker? What is she studying? I only ask because unless it is something useful.. you are def under her thumb.

I don't know about that, tay. He can hardly sit there in his undies, bottle of beer at his side, playing Grand Theft Auto IV for 8 hours a day, with his in-laws there.

Cant think of anything worse than having to entertain and be in 'son in law' mode for my only fortnight off in the year.
