            They do have contracts, they match requirements and skills, and they pay very quickly. But not necessarily as much as you might have liked.

              A tale to warm the flintiest of contractors' hearts:

              Agent rang me yesterday, waffle and toss, no real job, basically on a deep-sea fishing expedition.

              He said that they had a "system" that meant I had to supply 2 previous managers' names, in order that they could log me into their ace jobs database!!! Remembering an old Private Eye spoof of the Sun's coverage of the Hillsborough Disaster, I said "Mike Ittup" and "Vic Titious". And the greedy little piranha took it hook, line and sinker. 10 points to me.
