You mean they're notOriginally posted by Beefy198 View PostMaybe we should also point out the attitude of the private school kids at the regatta.
Bunch of stuck up nonces. Daddy pays for them to attend a posh school and they basically insinuate that all kids that attend comprehensive schools are thick and unmotivated.

You don't need to watch telly for that - that's the prevailing wisdom on here most days.Originally posted by Beefy198 View PostMaybe we should also point out the attitude of the private school kids at the regatta.

Not according to Public school boys. I went to a comprehensive, a guy who worked at my last client went to the public school in the same town. He was lower down the pecking order than me. What a waste of money.Originally posted by oracleslave View PostYou mean they're not
Back to the unemployed all voting Labour
Voter turnout in the 2001 general election also varied by employment status. For those in work, the proportion who voted was slightly higher for self-employed people (71 per cent) than for employed people (66 per cent). Unemployed people were the least likely to vote - 48 per cent did so in 2001
So > 50% have no interest in politics. Assume 4 million on the dole or on long term benefits. That's 2 million voters. Somewhere around 60% might vote Labour (from google) say 1.2 million, not even 5% of the voting population.Last edited by Bagpuss; 29 October 2008, 13:02.The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

I think most public school educated boys are great. If that's not cool or part of the "prevailing view" then too bad.Originally posted by Peoplesoft bloke View PostYou don't need to watch telly for that - that's the prevailing wisdom on here most days.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

Ok suit yourself, you have no evidence (or can't be bothered) - it's your choice.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostI am sure that I do not need to produce evidence to support my claim that the places whith[sic] the highest prportions[sic] of welfare recipients and public sector workers are almost certain to vote for labour.Comment

It is part of the prevailing view on here - that was my point. As to people "having a chip" - it surely cuts both ways - why are public schoolboys who look down their noses at state educated people any less chippy in their way?Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostI think most public school educated boys are great. It isnt like saying that at all. How many public school boys do you actually know?. I rather feel that your (and others views) come from fear and insecurity and therefore prejudice rather than any objective experience. I know a lot of public school and ex public school boys. I also know a lot of working class men (not many women) and men/women who have been to comps and grammars. The working class guys are great because they rip the p*ss out of the toffs. The intelligent/sucessful grammar school ones-aka you lot- do tend to have an inferiority complex, and find it hard to hide their fear.Originally posted by Bagpuss View PostThat's like saying I think people who wear Armani trousers are great.
They deal with it by making sweeping generalisations of stereotype publi schoolboys in order to make themsel;ves feel comfortable.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment
