WHSOriginally posted by tim123 View PostWhat's this example got to do with "real world"programming.
Most programming problems are
"user clicks button" (real or virtual)
"Read inputs and calculate result"
"Give choice of responses to user".
"process response"
Learning how to do these things, in the environment you are using, is 95% of the task.
The example above is just theoretical nonsense

Too many developers just get carried away trying to prove how clever they are. NickFitz is a perfect example of this. He needs to get laid.Comment

I've misremembered this puzzle. With two condoms three men can shag one woman (all in safety) using only two condoms (using both sides of a condom). It would take a while to figure out a scenario with 3 condoms and I can't be arsed. It may be a N-Pee-pee 'HARD' with n condoms and m, o men and women. Most real world problems are HARD, but in business IT we often just deal with the much smaller set of polynomial time problems.Originally posted by oracleslave View Post3?

No. I think its actually a trick question. Something to do with laying them side by side, or end to end.Originally posted by oracleslave View Post3?
