    He pulled a blinder !

I think you'll find other smart businessmen who've seen it all before also got out in time. Dave Whelan ( Wigan Athletic Chairman and a noted scrooge and nasty businessman ) sold out of JJB Sports a year or so back, looks like they'll go bust !

Ah but as you probably don't know, learning to program to professional standards requires a modicum of intelligence and logic. Not much, granted, but a damn sight more than the average estate agent needs.

A pity really that to post on cuk does not require "a modicum of intelligence and logic"

The services of an estate agent could be learned in a couple of hours, which is why so many thickos work in estate agents. The tricks and cons might take a bit longer though.

PS I marketed and sold my own house. For 10% more than the local agents told me they could get.

I had it on with estate agents. In my experience the service you get:

              Some crap photos
              Fielding calls
Poor/little attempt to sell houses to shop visitors
The occasional reluctant viewing (isn't that his job FFS?)
              Slowing down the exchange process
Tipping off investors of possible distressed sales (conflict of interest?)
              Poor VFM
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Whatever intellectual snobbery you want to wrap your self importance up in, you like very other turd washed through the S bend are only as useful or valuable as what people are prepared to pay you.

If ever there was a "profession" that was disproportionately rewarded in relation to what it delivers, IT contractors are it.
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone
