Remember to switch your laptop off if it's a PS2 one you're plugging in.Originally posted by MaryPoppins View PostIt definitely was juice, unless the shop has been doing me over and selling me something other than ice tea in that bottle...
Am going to try plugging another keyboard in!ǝןqqıʍComment

Thank you all. I am now logged back into sticky keys laptop, am using an external keyboard. What a moron. New software installation onto new laptop next week will mean I can use a laptop like a normal person and not look like anymore of a weirdo. Although the new guy who is going to have to use this laptop for a while might not thank me....Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

You can compensate for the liquid on the keyboard by placing an onion under a bale of straw overnight. Never fails.Comment

Thanks Bob, that is usually a failsafe I use in most circumstances...Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

Best way is to remove the keyboard from the laptop, (normally clips or single screw. wash the keyboard in water and let it dry in a warm place for a few days. Then use a drop of WD40.
or just use some WD40 and hope.

Worked for me after 5 year old spilt vimto on my laptop. Knew someone once who put theirs under a tap and left to dry upside-down, don't think I would risk that but it worked in their case.Originally posted by Paddy View PostBest way is to remove the keyboard from the laptop, (normally clips or single screw. wash the keyboard in water and let it dry in a warm place for a few days.
