Brown is keeping his head down and his mouth shut because the majority of the UK population are pointing the finger across the pond or at the City. This is his (and NLs) get out of jail free card. As I have stated in a number of posts in other threads, it does not matter how well or badly he handles this Jo Public is not blaming him. If he can add all his other cock ups to the mix he will be in power for years dealing with the devastation caused by the rich city types who are supported by the Tories.
