Some of those imperfect execs will be polished in jail. Pity that UK white collar criminals will get away from responsibility yet again.

You still think that my prediction of 50% reduction in the City in the next few years is crazy? I am thinking I was rather conservative about it now.

What NL should now do is to arrange 'show-trials' for the CityBankers behind this debacle - that would be a vote winner for the angry electorate.

In what? Numbers employed, volumes traded?
There may well be a reduction - in 10 years it will be the same as before.
All these mega-doom predictions happened in the last recession too.
That's something we need to to remember.
And as you seem to be about 16 years old (by maturity level) you don't have the perspective and experience to judge.
        Hard Brexit now!

Well, I certainly know the difference between right and wrong and know that shafting people the way City does is not something I am personally inclined to do even if I get paid a lot for it. Maybe it's a sign of immaturity, but may it's a sign of a decent person rather than a scumbucket.

I think current crisis is actually going to be big enough to draw long lasting conclusiosn about scum that got everyone into it.

Don't ask him difficult questions, he's still struggling with the very basics...

I had some brains to conclude that house prices were way overpriced in this country when everyone was shouting about shortage of housing, immigrants taking all the houses, etc etc etc - being smart enough to refuse to be involved in idiotic things like this is far more important than even being able to get out of these situations, if only more people were like me such stupid bubbles would not have happened.

You keep repeating yourself like a broken record.
Have you convinced yourself that you were the only person who knew that houses were over priced? You need to get out more and stop listening to the voices.
Any fool could see we were in a bubble, including most on this forum.

Well spank my ass and call me Charlie, you really are the world's leading economist. Quick, someone call Gordon Brown and tell him we've found an economic saviour. All he'll need is some newspapers and a big supply of italic pens.

But he's too busy creating a product that will create peace in the world and cure cancer.

Well, I was clearly in a minority (few others had similar view but generally even on this forum people thought for price increases).

Those poor people you sold your BTLs to bought them at the top of the market and in London too - they are likely to go bankrupt, how do you feel about that?
