I was sharing house with a friend couple of years ago as it made sense, however he got new girlfriend and they moved into the house of their own (also rented).

I keep renting this house since it was very difficult to get multiple connections into it and for now it serves its purpose well.

The important thing here is that you are factually incorrect about "bedsit", in fact you are nowhere near since the house has got 4 (four) bedrooms.

Don't try to weasel out. You share the house don't you?
      You don't live there alone?
      Hard Brexit now!

No, I do not share the house. I do live alone in it. Is that clear?

Now if anyone burgles my house in the near future I will hold you responsible for it.

I think the burglars have probably worked out that there are better pickings than a house where a reclusive nutter lives

Somehow I find it strange that you would waste money on a 4 bed house when there is only one of you.

I think AtW has the words bedroom and bunk-bed confused.

When I started living in the UK I rented room only in a house with other people, mostly strangers. That was cheap and probably adequate at start (in London many foreigners were sharing rooms - 2 per room or more), but soon I moved up the scale and started sharing house in a much nicer area 50/50 with a friend.

Couple of years ago he moved on so I took on the whole house. The important element here is that it is not a bedsit (not that this silly accusation bothered me), and it is a bit rich to talk about betsits for someone who lives in London where usable space in rooms is generally much smaller than in the rest of the country.

Ah so you're an expert on London property sizes now?
I love the way you expose your ignorance, saves me the bother.

Well, I've been a few times to London houses and noticed that even though they might be called 3-bedrooms the size of actual rooms are smaller than here.

A fairly obvious thing this is - just like much smaller meals in London restaurants, that's hidden way to increase price, not very well hidden in case of those meals.

I suppose I was not visiting houses in Chelsea, but those are outside of reach of people who actually earn their money.

Ah! You have been living in foul northern hovels where Fatha, under instruction from Mutha, has knocked through every non-supporting wall to add a touch of southern finesse to their stinking kennel. Optical illusion.
