If all jobs paid the same, in which order would you choose these jobs if you had to do them yourself?
Slave
Toilet cleaner
Kitchen porter
Street cleaner
Caring for the elderly
Nurse
Teacher
IT worker
Airline pilot
Doctor
Chief executive
Politician
King
For some reason workers who work the hardest in the worst conditions in the most unfullfilling jobs are paid the least. Good innit?
Does job have to be physically challenging to be hard?
Whilst a king may not have to do much physical work, he has to rule a kingdom, is that not hard work?Still InvoicingComment

Some people pay a lot of money to be a slaveHow did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

i've actually been a toilet cleaner for 12 weeks during a uni summer. it's not hard. its boring and the boredom drives you insane - that is the challenge. also, the disrespect from the office workers who used the loos was quite an eye opener.
being a dev on the trading floor of an IB, the thing that makes it hard is the stress and the long hours, but it's certainly not boring.
i've never been a king though so i cant compare. does king dong count?Comment

If you find a job thats fits your personality then there is no such thing as hard work. Even long hours dont feel like hard work.
Its only when you find yourself in a profession or role that doesnt fit you that it feels like hard work.
If you see a hard working successful person, chances are he loves working hard at his job..
As for luck, that only plays a part in the short term, maybe for a few years you might suffer some bad luck but over a career spanning 20 to 40 years there should be plenty of chances for good luck to come your way..
Being a risk taker is probably more important than being lucky. Taking calculated risks is how you make your own luck.Comment
