Must say I'm not that worried about that side of it, most of the Scots I have known throughout the years have been great people once you have got to know them and I'm sure you will get a sizeable bunch of assholes with chips on their shoulders wherever you go.
Not to mention I'll be a lot closer to the family we have in Anglesey. The one worry I have is problems getting work that is communtible that result in me spending a lot of time away from the family as I don't really want to only see the kids at weekends.
Another positive is that I'll be bloody miles away from the mother in law in LondonHow fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't thinkComment

I remember a couple of sad stories a few years back where english couples moved to Scotland to run pubs and shops. The Scots would not accept them and would not frequent their enterprises due to racism which forced them to return to England. Good Luck !!!Comment

Nothing like on the same scale. I followed Scotland to the World Cup in 1990 in Italy. The hostility towards me and my english mate astonished me and changed my views towards Scots totally. .... and let's face it, no Scots would follow England to a World Cup!!Comment

Most of those I've worked with generally exceed the level of intelligence that would represent the union in terms of working class sporting events."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

If you were to move to Scotland the majority of people you meet will be at a much lower level of intelligence than those you meet at work..... then worry !!Comment
