I never had high estimations of New Lie. I only had high estimations of the costs of the Olympics. I wish they would lower those !!

At least we agree on something.

Snaw - we voted him in because he's an eccentric, bumbling, scruffy character who speaks his sharp mind bluntly.

And also because he isn't Ken.

WHS, especially the last bit. Although I didn't vote for anyone as I live on a farm in Wiltshire.

It is interesting that contractors, many of who do not give a flying fig about how they should dress for work are now demonising Boris for looking scruffy. At least he doesnt have a beard or wears a jacket with plastic elbow pads.

Again not my point - couldn't give a toss about the political part of it, I hated Ken as much as the next guy. It's the presenting London's image to the rest of the world bit I'm on about. They don't know any of the history, or listen to any of his 'witty' speeches. They just see some scruffy guy acting like a naughty schoolboy representing London on the global stage.

Clearly I'm not hit a note with this one, but I reckon my point is still valid - maybe I just read too many of the foreign reports on how he came across (Inc 'right leaning' ones like the wall street journal), but it wasn't exactly inspiring.

Not true, I expect to at least turn up for an interview in a suit lookign like I've made an effort. What happens afterwards at client site, is down to the culture there.

Boris had an interview with a few billion people in the world ...

Anyway, I'm giving up on this, clearly I'm getting nowhere and the boris blinkers brigade is out in force. I do find the lack of awareness of this amusing - I know DP and DA would be the first on the bandwagon if it had been Ken in the same situation, and we'd be agreeing now.

I do happen to agree with you, just testing as well as having a dig at the contractor stereotypes
