i saw a £20 on the floor of the tube a few months back, but i'd just got several grand back from the tax-man (unexpectedly), was feeling flush, and decided to leave it there to brighten up someone elses day....Originally posted by BolshieBastardYou're fulfilling a business role not partaking in a rock and roll concert.Comment

no, a good socialist would have cut the £20 note into 20 equally sized parts and distributed them to the other passengers...Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostWhat a good socialist you are.Originally posted by BolshieBastardYou're fulfilling a business role not partaking in a rock and roll concert.Comment

Didn't they work out that the amount for Bill Gates would be $10,000Originally posted by bobhope View PostEasy
if (money > timetaken to pick up money * contract rate)
pick up money
else
walk on by
e.g. assuming it takes 10 seconds to pick up, and rate is £50 / hour
is coin/note > 10 / (60*60) * 50
=> is coin/note > £ 0.13
so 20p or greater would do
Then Jeremy Paxman actually asked Bill Gates this question on Newsnight "Would you walk on by if you saw $10,000 on the pavement" the answer came back "nawe" (trying to do a Bill Gates accent there).Comment
