rootsnall: No no, don't bother with Java, Perl, python, ruby or any of that old stuff.

      .Net is the way forward.

Done all them. I'll give you 15% of the fortune if you sort me out the work.

ADA !? Thats about the lowest paid skill out there, I wisely got out of that 10+ years ago.

ADA is paying a decent 40-45 quid an hour on the mainland.

Mainland ? To be honest I haven't followed it but it was stuck at 30 an hour for years. I'd be interested if I could get a cushy 45 an hr never ending ADA job.

Mainland Europe. Not worked in the UK sinc 98. Worked in ADA all that time. Lowest rate was 37.50 highest was 52, though I did do a 12 month fixed price job that I finished 2 months early on so the rate for that would have looked good.

The last Ada work I did was on the 'mainland', in France, are they using Ada for non defence stuff these days !? I think the rates are rubbish in the UK as its all basically controlled by a handful of defence contractors. Everything for BAe was paying the same rate the last time I looked into it.
