I like to take an Aldi bag when shopping in Harrods.

Top Aldi/Lidl tip:

take a carrier bag from some other shop when you go. Lidle charge you for theirs, plus you have the embarrassment of beign seen carrying it.

I went into Lidl's for the first time last weekend (my old mum loves it - she insisted I go with her). Fantastic, I bought:
- 2 cordless power drills
- a router
- a workbench
- a household's worth of lightbulbs
- a crate of beer (the reason I originally went in)

total cost 102.53. Absolute bargain.
