I am hoping that the good people of Glasgow east will do the right thing and overturn the 13K lab majority. GB could not survive that.

Then incentivise the electric cars by all means but FFS don't penalise the petrolheads.

Where I live, I've been snowed in 2 times in 4 years. I'd love to see an electric car have the torque to get me out. I'd probably get down the driveway and then need to recharge.

      Nice one cyclops.

He really is an old fashioned 'meddler' politician who thinks he can legislate on every aspect of our lives.

The car tax thing, this is his way of getting his backbenchers to approve road pricing. If he threatens them with something that will lose them their seats (£200 on road tax) then they will acquiesce when he 'falls back' to the idea of Road Pricing, which is what he wants to do all along.

Show me an alternative as efficient as my modern 55mpg diesel on the motorway commute I do every day and I'll consider it.

When there's no oil left what are you going to do?

There will always be some oil left FFS.

Even if it's only a single vial in a museum.

Same answer as for Chugnut torquing his way through the snow: it's not a question of how you do it, you should not do it at all. It is wrong to do a motorway commute, you should live close to work. Just ask the taxman.

Have you actually had your one done yet? If so, happy with it?

Interestingly, Subaru now sell a new Legacy with factory fitted LPG, all warranty approved. Smart move, and the car's a good 'un too.
